A indoor grow will give you full control over your grow enviroment, but it will come at a cost. Lights, fans, ducting, grow box, not to mention the power that you will use.
You can start your indoor grow with a area as small as a PC box and grow it to take over a whole room and your costs will reflect the size of your grow room.

Lights – You can start with the cheap full spectrum LED lights from your nearest chinese store and you can work your way up to a full HID system where you change your globes depending on your growth stage.
- LED – LED light have recently come to there own. They have become a lot more affordable and power consumption is a lot lower than HID with a lot less heat generated.
- CFL – Compact Florescent Lights – Very good results have been generated with CFL’s. The fact that they run at low temperatures makes them ideal for small compact grows as they won’t burn your plants when near them.
- HID – For years the gold standard in indoor grows. HID lights give you great returns and you can customize the type of light that you need by changing the globes. The main drawback of HID is the power consumption and the heat generated.
Grow box – Building a grow box will make it easier to control your grow environment. When building your grow box you keep in mind that you need ventilation, space for your lights, your plants and your container/grow medium. You also need to make sure that your box will reflect your light from all directions and that your box is light proof for when you flip your flowers into flower. If you aren’t the handyman type you can buy complete grow tents that has been designed exactly for growing.

Fans/Ventilation – Your cannabis plants needs to feel the air move in their leaves. This will not only lower your chances of mold , but as the stems are stressed by the blowing wind, the plants will create more growth hormone to strengthen the stems. This will lead to higher THC levels in your final product. Depending on your area and environment you might need to install ducting for fresh air inlets or exhaust outlets. Also remember that cannabis has a distinctive smell, and that if you need to do a stealth growth, you will need to install carbon filters to eliminate the smell
